About My Clients
I work with children (3+), teens, and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns they don’t understand, or unsure how to manage big feelings. I especially enjoy supporting families seeking play-based therapy for their child and college-aged clients who want deeper insight and practical coping tools for lasting emotional growth.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed therapist that specializes in child, adolescent, and young adult mental health. My clinical work centers on anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional regulation across developmental stages. I am trained in play-based therapy and Level 1 Sandtray, allowing children to process experiences in developmentally appropriate and expressive ways. With teens and young adults, I integrate psychodynamic and person-centered therapy with practical coping strategies to build both emotional insight and confidence. My therapeutic background is grounded in trauma-informed care and supported by additional mindfulness training through my RYT-200 certification. I value ongoing professional growth and evidence-based approaches because my clients deserve an intentional, competent practitioner. At the same time, I believe therapy works best when two individuals meet with authenticity, respect, and genuine compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and treated with dignity. My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each client’s lived experience. I value inclusivity and strive to create a space that is affirming of diverse identities, backgrounds, and family systems. I believe emotional patterns develop for a reason — often as a way to stay safe or connected — and healing begins when those parts are met with understanding rather than shame. I am committed to ongoing learning, cultural humility, and practicing in ways that honor both individual growth and the broader communities we belong to. For me, one of the most beautiful parts of therapy is seeing real humans come together to work toward meaningful change. Above all, I hold a deep respect for the inner child in everyone. Even as we grow older, those parts deserve patience, validation, and heartfelt care.
