About My Clients
I work with parents who have experienced infertility (first or secondary), traumatic birth experiences, pregnancy complications, NICU, miscarriage, loss and perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety. I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, learning disabilities and ADHD; helping improve self-esteem and executive functioning skills.
My Background and Approach
I completed my bachelors at John Carroll University and a masters from Xavier University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Much of my career has been working with teens and adults through mental health therapy, vocational rehabilitation, parent coaching and disability services. I use an eclectic trauma informed approach to meet my clients where they are. I have additional training and certificate in maternal mental health from Postpartum Support International. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Mindfulness and strength based approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The obstacles of life are scary and painful, so it helps to have a companion along the journey who can help you see yourself in a different way. I believe growth, change and peace are always possible, but sometimes you need help to move in that direction.
