About My Clients
You’ve spent so long trying to fit in and now you’re wondering what it might feel like to just be yourself. I work with adults navigating identity, self-esteem, anxiety, and life transitions with a special focus on the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and free to explore the parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside by others or even by you.
My Background and Approach
My style is warm, relational, and grounded in deep respect for your lived experience. I use a person-centered approach and draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you connect with what matters most and move toward the life you want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As someone who identifies as lesbian, I understand how complex and deeply personal the journey of self-discovery can be. When I was navigating my identity, I had a hard time finding a therapist who truly understood the struggles of coming out, especially when you don't have an open and supportive family. Additionally, I'm a Palestinian-American who is passionate about connecting with cultural roots and to my elders, and love working with others who are trying to connect with their cultural identity. I also strongly believe in the power of psychedelic medicine when used in a responsible way, and as a way to support in the journey of returning to the core of oneself. As a therapist, I love working with others as they navigate that journey, and can provide support in integrating the lessons you've learned into every day life. Some of my hobbies and interests include baking, cooking, spending time outdoors, attending music festivals and concerts, playing video games, and reading.
