About My Clients
Somewhere along the way, the bar got set impossibly high. You’re expected to be on top of everything at work and at home, so you plan for every worst case and try to keep it all under control. But the worry doesn’t stop, and on the hardest days it comes out sideways at the people you love. Then comes the guilt, and the voice that says you should be handling this better. Whether it’s a demanding career, a spouse who’s away again, or both, you’re carrying more than anyone sees.
My Approach to Helping
I’m a working mom and a military spouse, so I understand this life from the inside. As a Certified DBT Therapist, I’ll help you reset the expectations that keep you on high alert and build more compassion for yourself in the moments that matter. You’ll learn practical skills to steady your emotions when they start to take over, so you can show your kids what it looks like to handle hard feelings with care. Perfect was never the goal. Over time, you’ll trust that you can handle the hard and let go of what was never yours to control. And when things don’t go the way you hoped, you’ll know how to repair. Having a hard time doesn’t make you a bad mom, and wanting support doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful for the life you’ve built. I offer a free 15 minute consultation and morning sessions from home for clients in Texas, Colorado, and Washington.
My Values as a Therapist
At its core, I believe therapy should feel like a relationship, not a performance. That means no pretense, no pressure to have it all figured out, and no one-size-fits-all “fix.” I bring curiosity, honesty, and non-judgmental stance to every session and I encourage you to do the same. This is a space where you don’t need to be perfect, productive, or polished to be taken seriously. I’m especially drawn to people who’ve spent a long time being the strong one—working parents, helpers, first responders, and caregivers who keep showing up while privately wrestling with anxiety, depression, burnout, or relationship challenges. You don’t have to carry it all alone. Together, we can slow the pace, reconnect with your values, and start creating change that doesn’t feel like another thing to perform.
