About My Clients
Are you tired or stressed out about your current situation? Do you wish you could change things? I have knowledge and experience working with a diverse population with a variety of mental health issues/illnesses. I have worked with adults, children and families in clinical and home-based settings on issues such as anxiety, mood disorders, family relationships, personal relationships, behavioral issues, trauma, and developmental disorders. I am multilingual and can speak Chaldean and Arabic.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed social worker with a Master’s degree from Wayne State University. I have over 17 years of both therapy and case management experience working with diverse clients both young and older. Past experience includes working with families and young children by providing Early On and Infant Mental Health home-based and community services. My professional experience also extends to the community facilitating educational services and in schools providing translation services for parents and professionals. Working with families has been an enjoyable and enriching experience. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Person-Centered Planning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Working with a diverse population, especially families with children, has enabled me to be a more caring, empathetic, and conscientious therapist. Those believes have also extended to my volunteer activities providing support and basic services for the middle east population. I believe each individual has the potential to work on themselves and find what works best for them and their situation. So, if you are interested in trying therapy for you or your loved ones especially in these difficult times, then call or email me for an appointment so we can get started.
