My Background and Approach
I've worked with a variety of people that come from an even more diverse background: From misunderstood teens to convicted criminals in prison & everything in between. I specialize in working with grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, couples conflict and LGBTQ+ issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a firm believer in accepting EVERYONE as they are, trying to learn about what you don't UNDERSTAND and accept that the world is full of people from all walks of life. I believe we're doing the very best we can with what we have, where we are, at any given time. In the journey towards change and healing, it helps enormously to exercise acceptance, tenderness, and love with ourselves. I also believe that we're biologically wired to rely, support, and elevate each other. This belief doesn't imply lacking independence. We can be independent, the idea of supporting ourselves in various ways, and also count on each other during high and low times. They're not mutually exclusive. There's a huge different between independence and toxic self-reliance. What I believe in is a healthy balance between independence and interdependence.
