About My Clients
My intention is to create a safe and accepting space that supports healing, growth, and connection to one’s authentic self. I enjoy working with individuals who feel different from their upbringing and who are navigating life transitions, grief and loss, spirituality concerns, relationship difficulties, and perinatal experiences. I work with children, adolescents, and adults.
My Background and Approach
I am originally from the Midwest. I moved to Chicago in 2018, completed my master’s degree in forensic psychology, and obtained my LPC. I continued my education and training, graduating with my PsyD in clinical psychology in from The Chicago School in 2025. My APA internship was at a community mental health center located in Provo, Utah. After the internship, I relocated back to Chicago, where I am a postdoctoral clinical therapist and provide psychological testing. I approach treatment holistically and collaboratively. I aim to understand each person's identities, relationships, and experiences. We create goals that feel supportive and achievable. I emphasize the mind-body-spirit connection and use humor, creativity, and movement when helpful. I practice through a relational-cultural and person-centered lens. I incorporate DBT, ACT, and other evidence-based methods to build coping skills when needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to live freely and authentically. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, support social justice movements, and believe it is essential to discuss how systems and societal factors impact mental health. Along with systems, I believe in the connection between mind, body, and soul. Having been raised Catholic and now spiritual, I support individuals as they explore faith, spirituality, and transition between identities. Additionally, I have personal experience being a vegetarian and was vegan previously.
