About My Clients
My clients are individuals, couples, and families seeking a space where they can show up authentically and be met with empathy, curiosity, and care. Many of the people I work with are members of the LGBTQ+ community who are navigating the complexities of identity, relationships, and belonging in a world that can sometimes feel unwelcoming. My clients often come to therapy wanting to explore who they are, process past trauma, and build healthier relationship with themselves and their community.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative and rooted in a humanistic, relational framework that honors the whole person. I believe therapy should not only address symptoms but also hold space for the broader contexts of your life—your culture, gender, sexuality, and the systems that shape your experience. Through a blend of talk therapy, mindfulness, and relational techniques, we explore how your past experiences, beliefs, and relationships have shaped your present reality. This process helps you build insight, compassion, and the confidence to create new patterns that align with who you want to be. We will develop curiosity about how your past shapes your present and will work to explore the patterns that may no longer serve you. Together, we move toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and self-compassion—cultivating a deeper sense of belonging both within themselves and in the world around us.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer person, I understand how vital it is to work with a therapist who is knowledgeable, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I am passionate about offering therapy through an anti-racist and liberation based lens. We will attend to the larger systems that shape your life, for better or worse, prior to diagnosing you or attributing your behaviors to mental illness.
