About My Clients
Clients who work with me are amazing people, seeking clarity, safety, and movement from some though struggles that have created emotional, financial, and even physical hardship. I specialize in trauma, addictions, and anxiety as well as work with grief and loss. I strive to know and understand you and your personal goals, so we can move toward them together.
My Background and Approach
I am a relational, strength based therapist and specialize in trauma, addictions, and anxiety as well as work with grief, loss, and relational issues. I’ve studied addictions treatment, have a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, am a certified Aroma Freedom Practitioner, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional for Children and adolescents, use Sandtray, Zentangle, and Gestalt techniques. I’m trained in Psychodrama and Sociometry as well - that is an exciting way to work through things! I feel it’s important to focus on the whole person - how are your struggles integrating into your life? I look closely at these things and work with my client to recognize patterns that restrict emotional growth, wellness and good living.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am open and accepting of potential clients from all walks of life, beliefs, and backgrounds. I am a Christian, wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend, singer, and lover of nature and animals, and am a friendly face to those who support medical freedom and choosing what is right for their families. I support growth mindsets and growing that way of stretching oneself. I love learning - I never stop. In fact - in this rich mid century phase of my life, I’m finally FINALLY learning to play piano and that means I am equally humbled and delighted daily as I untangle my fingers and make some glorious musical mistakes! I fiercely believe in therapy - I love the work and delight in each and every insight I witness. Counseling is a joy in my heart. I hope to share that with you!
