About My Clients
Yes, it is scary. But it can also be transformative. Whatever your reason for looking into therapy, I’m glad you’re here. The quality of our relationships is our most valuable investment, not only with others but more importantly is the relationship that we have with ourselves. The better we know ourselves the better we can work toward making choices that align with our truth.
My Background and Approach
My approach is holistic, collaborative & strength based. As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging & direct. My goal is for clients to use therapy as a tool to gain enough insight & coping skills to think, feel, & behave in such a way that feels genuine & authentic to them. I practice from an attachment perspective which focuses on important relationships in our lives and the innate human need to feel connected, loved & supported. I'm a graduate of University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, license # 7468-125) in the state of Wisconsin; as well as a certified Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC-IT, license #18624-130) having studied abroad in Scotland where I completed my addiction studies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My most important task for clients is that they use therapy as a tool to gain enough insight and coping skills to think, feel, and behave in such a way that feels genuine and authentic to them. Whether we are conscious of it or not, we all live our lives my rules that have been formed by our past, creating patterns of behavior that influence how we interact with those around us. Someones we can get in our own way, limiting our growth, healing and restoration.
