As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, providing mental health services to my community is central to why I became a therapist. While queer folks share the same core needs as anyone else, how we meet those needs—and how they manifest—can be unique. Through my lived experience and training, I maintain awareness of these factors to meet queer clients where they are.

Many men were raised to be protectors and providers, learning to compartmentalize feelings to fulfill those roles. Too often, therapy asks men to dismantle everything that has kept them safe and functioning. I help men build on their existing strengths rather than tear down what's working—honoring what they've developed while creating space for growth and healing.

Our relationship with our bodies and movement can become complicated when exercise shifts from self-care to compulsion, or when the mirror reflects back shame instead of appreciation. Whether you're navigating disordered eating, exercise addiction, or the pressure to achieve an impossible ideal, I help clients rebuild a healthier relationship with their bodies—one that honors both physical and emotional wellbeing without rigid rules or punishment.

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a framework to explore your inner world. We all have different parts of ourselves—the part that pushes hard, the part that wants to hide, the part that criticizes. IFS helps us understand these parts with curiosity rather than judgment, learning what they're trying to protect and what they need. This approach creates space for deeper self-understanding and lasting healing.

I've received training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a therapy approach that helps process difficult memories and experiences that feel stuck. Through bilateral stimulation—like guided eye movements—EMDR allows your brain to reprocess traumatic or distressing memories in a way that reduces their emotional charge. It can be particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, and experiences that continue to impact you in the present.

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients move toward what matters most to them. Rather than fighting uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, ACT teaches psychological flexibility—making room for difficult experiences while taking action aligned with your values. This approach helps you build a meaningful life not by eliminating pain, but by changing your relationship with it so it no longer controls your choices.
