My expertise is with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss, adjustment challenges, & daily individual & relationship challenges. I do well with brainstorming, exploring options, setting goals, and charting a plan to achieve goals. I expect client success! I welcome the chance to help you find a safe space for independent thinking, growth, and healthy living!
My Background and Approach
I have a passion for using aspects of the client’s culture - including music & the arts - to enhance the therapeutic process. I am technologically inclined & consider the use of technology to enhance the healing process & daily living. I believe in having a direct, frank discussion that allows clients to be heard. I also believe in offering different perspectives & helping clients think through the best course of action for them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am goal-oriented so work toward setting goals & action steps toward achieving goals during sessions. And, I provide empowering strategies & support so clients know they have what it takes to achieve their goals. Life is an individual process that none of us does alone. I have 10+ yrs of experience. I am willing to travel life’s journey through growth & evolution with each client. I have an eclectic approach grounded in cultural self-determination. I have a Masters & a PhD in Social Work & I am an Army Veteran.
