About My Clients
I work with folks who experience numerous transitions in their life, like moving away from their home, immigrating to start the American dream, being a new parent, starting college, leaving a toxic/abusive relationship, and more. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental, collaborative environment. Our work together will be tailored to your needs and wants. I provide virtual therapy for folks who reside in the state of New York.
My Background and Approach
I strongly refrain from a "one-size-fits-all approach", I tailor the treatment to your needs. My approach is non-directive and trauma-informed, I create a space where I take into account how your former experiences (trauma, vulnerable experiences) influence how you navigate your day-to-day life. I incorporate different techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, culturally informed, and internal family systems therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a daughter of immigrants, I know firsthand the stigma surrounding communities of color regarding mental health. My practice intends to assist you in navigating your lived experiences. Often, my clients arrive at sessions feeling lost and overwhelmed with cultural and societal expectations. I want to provide you with a space where you can feel safe, feel seen, be vulnerable, and work towards healing and connectedness. I offer sessions in Spanish to allow folks who are non-English speakers to access counseling services in their native language.
