About My Clients
Safety, belonging and dignity is the container in which I help people transform suffering and struggle into ease and relief. Often what we are reacting to is not being able to tolerate what is happening in our sensations, emotions, and experiences. Our bodies tell stories. Our muscles hold memories. Awareness, listening and increasing our ability to physically process and transform these stories allows more aliveness, purpose, and love to enter. I look forward to connecting with you.
My Background and Approach
My passion and my own personal experiences of working through difficult, scary life changing thresholds and transitions and wanting relief, ease, connection and understanding of what was happening is what fueled my desire to receive a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and later to teach counseling and addiction studies at Central Oregon Community College. My experience working with community and Tribal mental health agencies since 2000, has helped me understand the deep gift of creative adaptation, resilience, and healing which resides within everyone. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, we work together to mindfully slow down and compassionately explore your past and present experiences and circumstances and identify simple daily wellness practices that support your embodied transformation and emotional integration.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Healing is rooted in repetition. To undo a history of reactions and behavior patterns requires focus and intentional effort. When you make it a conscious goal to transform and apply effort towards healing your reactions, patterns, pain, and suffering, it is only a matter of time until you start seeing results building within. You will not get it right every time but eventually you will have applied enough compassionate, gentle, and patient effort that your new way of living will become second nature to you.
