About My Clients
Presently I'm offering online services only through the platforms Headway & Doxyme. Therefore if you are experiencing more severe symptoms such as audio or visual hallucinations, recent suicidal thinking or violent/aggressive behavior towards self/others you may be better served in-person. My Background and Approach
I provide Christian Counseling & Biblical Wisdom as a foundation as I'm able to clinically assess and treat most mental health disorders. I began in 2012 when I provided Psychological & Psychosocial assessments mostly for school-age children. I'd also see adults either for a court preceding or behavioral therapy. I then provided home-based therapy to adolescents as part of a preventative program to avoid incarceration. I'd continue to work with youth who adjudicated to juvenile detention within the facility partnered with Bellevue Psychiatry. After this rewarding work, I moved on to supervise the MH Crisis, Information and Referral line NYC WELL as part of first lady Chirlane McCray's ThriveNYC initiative. I've since opened Love Don't Play Mental Health Counseling, PLLC, a Christian Mental Health Counseling Private Practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I allow the client to direct the level of Faith-Based counseling involved. This includes any client regardless of identity that is open toward learning about and accepting Jesus as their personal savior in an effort to conform to his image. I also have a special interest in young, traditionally overlooked individuals who'd be surprised to know they are Loved & Valued, and even that they are desired by the Kingdom of God.
