In my generalist practice I have expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, social anxiety, trauma, phobias, panic attacks), managing intrusive and unwanted thoughts and compulsions (OCD), attention problems (ADHD), and relationship challenges. Other areas of interest include dating etiquette, mindfulness meditation training, life transitions (e.g., new job, city, divorce), and supporting people who've experienced emotional neglect and abuse. Recently, I've been supporting people cope with new political realities.
I am a psychologist, which is a doctoral level degree (Ph.D) that allows for a broad scope of practice including assessment, research, teaching, and treatment. I have worked in a variety of large institutions such as Kaiser Permanente, a California state hospital, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and a university counseling center. I work with adults and teens in individual and couples therapy.
