About My Clients
I work with adults, veterans, service members, professionals, and individuals from diverse backgrounds who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, mood concerns, life transitions, trauma, or emotional burnout. Many of my clients are seeking a provider who listens, understands their story, and offers practical, evidence-based support. My goal is to help clients feel heard, respected, and empowered as they work toward healing, stability, and a better quality of life.
My Background and Approach
I am a doctorally prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 18 years of nursing experience across Veterans Affairs, military medicine, telehealth, community health, wound care, and deployed healthcare settings. As a U.S. Army Reserve Major and trilingual clinician fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole, I bring a strong foundation in leadership, cultural humility, and service. My approach is compassionate, respectful, and evidence-based. I take time to understand each person’s history, symptoms, goals, culture, stressors, and strengths. I provide psychiatric assessment, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive care with a focus on safety, trust, and collaboration. I believe mental health care should never feel rushed or judgmental. My goal is to help clients feel seen, supported, and equipped with a clear plan for healing and long-term wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, regardless of their background, culture, life story, or current struggles. My work is grounded in service, humility, faith, discipline, and the belief that healing is possible when people are heard, supported, and treated with genuine care. My experiences as a healthcare provider, veteran-serving clinician, military officer, husband, father, and immigrant have shaped how I connect with people. I understand that life can bring pain, pressure, trauma, loss, uncertainty, and moments when people feel overwhelmed. I also believe people have strength within them, even when they cannot see it yet. My role is to walk beside clients with honesty, clinical knowledge, and compassion while helping them move toward stability, hope, and a healthier future.
