About My Clients

If you find yourself still unsatisfied after achieving the things you thought would bring contentment then you have arrived. Get off the exhausting treadmill, move with intention, and realign with the trust you have envisioned for yourself. Expect space to be held just for you, room to breathe, and authentic, non-judgmental support. In a sex-positive, trauma-informed, and integrative space, all genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, ages, and bodies are welcome. Success takes many forms.

My Background and Approach

Adventure and exploration takes humility and safety. I have lived for years as a wilderness therapy guide in the high desert of Utah using our natural world as a metaphor for change. Here in Missouri, I bring those skills straight to session with you. You will be in the cockpit controlling which layers you would like to exfoliate while staying within your window of tolerance. Slough off dead skin and make more robust the layers that nourish and serve you. In a safe and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized, integrative approach tailored to the individual needs of each client. I offer tools to help track your experience and build on all of your strengths, even if you don't see them as strengths. I can help you work with the ways you hold past hurt, grief, or trauma, and support your natural ability to heal, allowing relaxation, connection, focus, and an increased capacity for joy. Intimacy and vulnerability can be safe again.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I know that finding the right therapist is hard, and so interviewing your clinician is imperative. Make sure this person is someone you can feel safe and seen with. You may not be seeking therapy for support related to your gender, sexuality, open relationships, BDSM, body dysmorphia, invisible disabilities, chronic pain, experiences of oppression, existential or environmental dread, drug culture, or neurodiversity, but you will not have to waste your time educating me about these realities or convincing me of their validity. I combine creative expression of all forms; interaction with nature, mindfulness of the body, and psychoeducation to create a learning experience that fosters insight, growth, and change. But most importantly, I will work with you to maximize your ability to begin giving yourself permission to awaken to your own healing powers. I have an eclectic style that includes somatic, cognitive, narrative, and behavioral approaches.
