My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master’s of Social Work in 2018. After completing my education, I moved back to the Pacific Northwest with my spouse and I have been working in various mental health roles in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon ever since. My role as a social worker has included a diverse range of mental health settings. I have worked with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, students in public schools, and people experiencing homelessness. I have been trained in a various modalities including EMDR and trauma informed care. I hope to explore your goals alongside you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that when we know more about mental health and how trauma impacts our minds and bodies, we drastically increase our ability to cope and heal. My goal as a therapist is to navigate challenges with my clients as they repair their relationships with themselves, strengthen their relationships with others, explore their passions, and move through life’s transitions. I also believe it is critical to look at you in relationship to the systems you exist in and hope we can continue to explore this through our work together.
