About My Clients
If you’re boxed in by work pressures, school stress, relationship issues, or harmful habits, let’s build a plan for change. If anger or anxiety are causing actions that don’t match your values, let’s draft a map for navigating hard moments.
My Background and Approach
My approach is flexible and nonjudgmental. I use tools from dialectical behavior therapy to help clients build comfort with tough emotions. I take a strengths-based approach to highlight your resilience, and take an existential view for exploring your purpose in the world. I also enjoy teaching pre-teens and teenagers skills for communication and coping. I’m energized by others’ motivation for change, and work to support progress through a relaxed setting, close listening, and good humor. I offer in-person and telehealth sessions. For younger clients, I work with caregivers to ensure therapy feels safe and supportive. Whether you’re ready to get started or just want to learn more, feel free to reach out.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach therapy from a social justice orientation, and I work with clients to identify areas of change in life while also acknowledging marginalization experiences and the impacts of our environments. My practice includes recognizing the whole client, not just their presenting problem, and highlighting the benefits of positive activities in a client's life, whether that's an artistic practice, a favored form of exercise, or the act of caring for a pet.
