About My Clients
Everybody wants healthy relationships, personal strength, and fulfilled goals. However, relationships in your life might be strained or broken. You might be struggling with a personal issue like addiction, stress, anxiety, or depression. It is also possible that you are not living up to your full potential, are uncertain about the direction of your life, or need help navigating change or transition in your life.
My Background and Approach
During counseling, you will receive grace, truth, and time to grow. I will help you identify which parts of your character structure need growth and ways to encourage this growth. Over time, you will find that your life becomes healthier and more abundant in the areas of relationships, in your personal life, and in the capacity to function in your world. Although Greg uses many different psychological tools, depending on the client’s needs, he is particularly drawn to Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, corrective emotional experiences, somatic experiencing, trauma work, and story work. I will provide a safe place for you to be heard, grieve your losses, and discover hope for the future. This will be a place for you to grow. If you desire, I am happy to bring prayer and Biblical counsel into the therapy sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves respect and dignity. That is not just in the counseling experience but in all of life. Having spent over three decades in church work, I am especially empathetic to those who are still "in the trenches" of church work. I understand the high levels of demands placed upon them, the isolation, and the pressures that come with this type of work. Sadly, I also empathize with those who carry "church wounds" and can help people find healing for these specific types of emotional and spiritual wounds.
