About My Clients
I work with adults who are seeking support with decision making, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, trauma, life transitions and more. I have experience supporting people who come from various family structures, as well as people who are processing their (in)fertility, pregnancy, miscarriage(s), abortion(s), sexuality, parenting, and family secret(s). I'm open to working with people grappling with any number of experiences; please reach out if you'd like to see if we're a good fit.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) which can help people identify parts of themselves that are no longer serving them. The work is partially about transforming these parts into collaborators so they begin to feel like internal resources. I've found this approach can help people develop more versatility in how they connect and communicate in their most important relationships, including the one with themselves. I have a profound respect for the complexities of relationships. My role as your therapist is to understand your particular matrix of beliefs, emotions and behaviors, collaboratively develop goals that align with your values, then work together to create the changes you would like to see in yourself and your life. My work is insight-oriented, trauma-informed and relational. I bring my sense of humor, curiosity and creativity to each session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a white Jewish queer therapist. I am rooted in the belief that people form, change and can heal through healthy, safe relationships. I have spent a cumulative 1.5 years living outside the United States in my adult life and grew up in New York City, both of which have shaped the way I understand cultural humility and context. On a more personal note, I’m a parent, a dancer, and a really good cook.
