About My Clients
My areas of focus are trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relational conflict, and self-esteem and compassion. I work with teenagers and older with various ethnic backgrounds.
My Background and Approach
I have a integrative holistic approach when working with clients. I prefer to have as many tools under my belt as possible. My approach is to tailor to my client's unique needs, experiences, and background. My work with clients is collaborative, gentle but realistic, sometimes direct when necessary, and personable. Some of my niches include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, person-centered therapy, interpersonal therapy, compassion-focused therapy, culturally sensitive therapy, emotionally focused therapy, feminist therapy, strengths-based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone would benefit from therapy at some point because life will throw curveballs at you. I like to consider therapy as training wheels on a bike to support the client until they can ride a bike independently. What I mean by this is, as a therapist I am here to support you and help guide you in the right direction. However, you are the leader and must put in the effort to be successful.
