About My Clients

I help creative, intellectual people go from feeling stuck, lost, and anxious to feeling confident, authentic, and self assured—without going in circles around the same topics again and again. Instead, we’ll use tools from mindfulness, parts work, and existential therapy to get to the root of the anxiety and make real change.

My Approach to Helping

If you're looking for someone to really listen without judgment, to give feedback without criticism, and to help you see yourself with clarity and compassion--I'm the therapist for you. I use a combination of existential therapy, mindfulness, parts-work, and attachment theory to help my clients understand themselves more deeply and make changes in their lives. Mindfulness is all about focusing on the present moment in a non-judgmental way. Life is going to have its ups and downs, and that is normal and perfectly okay. Often it's like we're riding a roller coaster; mindfulness is just trying to help us see that we're on a roller coaster, not trying to take us off of it. Attachment theory helps us understand why we are the way we are, and existential theory helps us make meaning of our lives.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe that the benefits of therapy come not just from knowledge and master's degree, but from providing a space where people feel truly accepted for who they are. We face so much rejection in this world - from relationships, family, co-workers, and ourselves. In therapy, you can learn what it's like to be accepted, flaws and all. Through that, my hope is that you can learn to accept yourself. I also value collaboration in therapy. I have knowledge in psychology, but you have knowledge about what it’s like to be you or to be in your relationship. I offer outdoor sessions to help clients connect with their bodies and nature--an alternative type of therapy. Let's work together to help you reach your goals.
