About My Clients
My clients typically are queer, trans, neurodivergent, and/or chronically ill. Often, they are struggling with past trauma or trying to figure out where they fit in the world. They may be exploring various aspects of identity, or understandably struggling with existing in the current state of the world. They may be trying to change patterns of relating to others, or may be struggling with other patterns in their lives.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded in both my psychodynamic training and harm reduction, which values all humans regardless of their circumstances or choices. I pull from multiple modalities (including narrative therapy, parts work, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and harm reduction) to ensure the work we do together works for you. My approach is always compassionate and trauma-informed, regardless of the specific modality we are working within. I have extensive experience working in multiple levels of care, and with clients dealing with many different concerns and struggles. This has made me very comfortable adapting to different client needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the capacity of both individuals and communities. I value liberation - for disabled people, people of color, gender minorities, queer people, immigrants, and those with historically limited access to education. This also means that I am proudly covid-conscious/realist and welcome those with similar values to my practice. Praxis is important to me - it is one thing to say you believe in something, but another to take an action step. I believe in collective action and that said action must be accessible to all. I also love film photography and the ocean. If what I have written here appeals to you, please send me a message.
