About My Clients
I help over-thinkers who appear to have it all together on the outside but feel deeply disconnected and trapped in their heads. Does living inside your mind feel like the safest place to be, even though it leaves you feeling isolated and stuck? Do you find yourself analyzing why you feel a certain way but struggle to truly "feel your feelings?" Do you finally want a holistic and somatic approach to therapy, tired of talking in circles about your emotions?
My Background and Approach
I work relationally and draw from somatic therapies, IFS, and ACT. I'm trained in Somatic IFS. So we’ll explore the unique parts of you and connect with our bodies and current physical experiences. I’ll also use our relationship as a tool. We’ll use our dynamic in the therapy room, uncovering patterns that reflect your relationships outside of it. We’ll work to take action that’s aligned with the life you want. I’ll challenge you and always bring my authentic self to session. I’m direct and honest, so I’m not just going to sit there and nod. I’ll tell you what I actually think. Clients have said I have a grounding + playful presence. I’m easy-going and don’t take life too seriously! I believe in the healing power of laughter and shared emotions. Nothing shocks me, whether we’re talking about sex, trauma, or the complexities of your inner world, so you can trust that our sessions are safe for any revelation. I’m here, no judgement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
On my own journey as a recovering intellectualizer, I've learned to feel my feelings (& not just think about them). I know how hard it is to forgive yourself and be vulnerable again after a shitty relationship that left you doubting your ability to trust the right people. As a second-generation immigrant, I have an appreciation for the challenges (& beautiful joys!) that come with being a woman of color. When I'm not in session or on the mat, you can find me hiking, camping, and connecting with nature. I help people come home to themselves, remember their inherent worth, and trust their inner wisdom. I’d be honored to bear witness to your healing.
