My Background and Approach
Gozde completed intensive Emotional Focused Therapy externship to treat couples. Gozde is working with heterosexual couples, same sex couples, and people who want to explore open relationship or polyamory. Gozde facilitates grief and mild traumatic brain injuries process groups for children and adults.
Gozde also completed her intensive training in the practice of psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Maple Counseling Center, Los Angeles.
Gozde is also a certified EMDR therapist who uses this therapy with a mindfulness practice to treat many different issues including Big "T" traumas, as well as anxiety, stress, OCD, and social phobias.

My approach to psychotherapy is empathic, collaborative and unique to each individual's own needs. I believe the most important component of therapy is establishing a genuine relational connection. I strive to create a therapeutic environment in which clients feel comfortable, respectful, supportive and understood in order to actively explore deep personal issues and experiment with new ways of thinking.
