About My Clients

Folks often come to therapy at transitional moments, such as the end of a relationship, job, or even just the end of the year. You may feel sick of the relational patterns you get into or the way you relate to yourself. No matter what brings you to this point, I am here to help you navigate this important moment. Reach out today to get started on the path of healing and re-learning.

My Background and Approach

There's a lot of talk these days about "boundaries," but what does that mean? Many are unsure. This is often part of a collection of symptoms, including self-esteem issues, getting lost in relationships, difficulty with moderation, unrealistic goals of perfectionism, and more. I can help you understand these experiences, which are often related to codependency, resulting in anxiety, feelings of separation from others, problems with intimacy, and repeating parenting behaviors that you disliked growing up. I use the codependency model developed by Pia Mellody, author of Facing Codependence. Sometimes clients picked up the above behaviors from being raised by difficult, immature, or even narcissistic parents. We can work through this too. I use several tools, including the model developed by Dr. Karyl McBride, author of Will I Ever Be Good Enough. Regardless of the tools we use, I will also help you reconnect to your body where wisdom is often found.
