My Background and Approach
With 17 years of experience as a therapist, I specialize in working with individuals navigating substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I bring a compassionate, client-centered approach to our work together, grounded in respect for your unique story and strengths. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can unfold. I draw from evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, IFS, and EMDR, tailoring each session to meet your individual needs. These tools can help you manage overwhelming emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and heal from past wounds. Together, we will build self-confidence and foster self-compassion, while helping you reconnect with the inner strengths you may have forgotten along the way. Whether you're seeking relief, clarity, or a renewed sense of self, I’m here to walk alongside you—steadfast and attuned—as you move toward the life you want to live.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the inherent goodness of people and their capacity to heal. I trust that each person holds the wisdom they need within—they may just need support, guidance, and a safe space to reconnect with their inner voice. My approach is grounded in this belief, fostering emotional safety and empowerment so clients can access their own truth and strength. Movement is a vital part of healing, and I incorporate this philosophy both personally and professionally. I volunteer with a movement-based group that brings exercise, emotional support, and empowerment into the local jail, believing everyone deserves access to healing and dignity. After years in Brooklyn, I moved to seek a quieter, more connected life. Being in nature is central to my well-being—I hike, snowshoe, and ski with my two big dogs, embracing the outdoors as a space for restoration and joy. I value authenticity, equity, and community, and strive to bring these into every part of my work.
