Everyone has relationship issues. That may sound like a broad statement, but it's true. If you are in relationship, there will be issues. And if there aren't, there may be a people pleasing or appeasing happening. I don't know you yet so I can't say. I do know that feeling unseen or disconnected can happen in relationships and nonjudgmental support can be important to work through these issues whether internal or external. Let's collaborate and figure it out.

The overwhelming weight of depression can be debilitating. Over the 13 years as a therapist I've helped many people work through the most difficult parts of depression. One way I do this is through figuring out ways to reengage with the basics: moving, connecting, food/hydration, and sleep. These things seem simple, but as you know, they can be so difficult when depression is present. Together we can start with the basics and work toward engaging with the depression on a deeper level.

That feeling in your gut, the worry in your mind. Anxiety can keep us from doing the things that we know we want. I've been successfully working with client's who struggle with anxiety and worry for over 13 years. Supporting people to move through their fears to embrace the helpful parts of anxiety and leave the unhelpful self doubt parts behind.

Narrative Therapy (NT) is helpful for people who gravitate towards stories, who are creative, who are pensive. I believe this is most of us. NT challenges us to examine the stories that we tell, or have been told to us, throughout our lives. What in these stories is truly authentic to us, and what can we let fall away? Narrative allows us to dig deeply into how we view ourselves and highlights the impact that societal stories can have on us.

CBT is one of the most evidenced based therapy models available. I've been using CBT since I became a therapist 13 years ago. I often use it when people are getting stuck in unhelpful thinking loops. CBT can be very practical in helping us to check the facts and learn to reframe unhelpful patterns.

ACT is helpful for many of my client's because it has a wide range of techniques include breaking apart unhelpful thinking patterns, clarifying your values system, and mindfulness work. In the 10 years that I've been using act, I've seen it be highly successful for many people.
