About My Clients
I believe that parents, expecting-parents, or individuals desiring to be parents, often feel alone and misunderstood. The way the transition to parenthood is described to people is often that of perfection and pure joy when often it feels more like you are just surviving day by day. This can lead to depression and anxiety. I am here to provide you with the support, tools, and tailored approach you deserve in order to help you go from mere survival to thriving.
My Background and Approach
I am trained and now certified in Perinatal Mental Health. I am also a mother of 2 who understands how the role of overwhelm and anxiety can impact the pregnancy and postpartum journey. I have trained and educated myself on these struggles so that I can better help and assist families that are in the thick of that struggle. I have an empathic and warm approach to listen to you and better help you in understanding what you are going through.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all clients should be treated equally and with dignity and respect. As a professional who is 1st generation Latina, I understand the unique struggles that accompany individuals who identify as children of immigrants and people of color. I understand how hard we have to work to be listened to and to be seen. The perinatal population is especially close to my heart because I feel parents are left to navigate one of life's most difficult journeys without enough support or preparation. I am also a volunteer with Postpartum Support International to assist callers in California with support, education and resources for their pregnancy and postpartum journey. Because no one should suffer in silence or alone.
