I utilize REBT and CBT to address the way thoughts impact our emotions and behaviors. Both strategies help clients quickly identify patterns of thoughts that make it difficult to live the life they wish to live. I have a specific certification (CBT-I) focused on using CBT for insomnia, chronic pain, trauma, anxiety and depression.
In working with individuals exploring change in regards to their substance use, I utilize several treatment strategies. Strategies include motivational interview to explore the reasons for changing use of alcohol or drugs, harm reduction if individuals decide to continue using but want to reduce their risk and CBT and ACT. I have a specific credential (CAADC) to provide substance use treatment.

I love introducing clients to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In most cases, they haven't had a therapist help them focus on ways to use acceptance, mindfulness to increase psychological flexibility. This helps provide a different way of approaching pain and helps clients get unstuck from multiple issues including anxiety, chronic pain and depression.
The struggle to manage the phsyical and mental symptoms of anxiety (headaches, stomach issues, IBS, panic, procrastination, indecision, racing thoughts, tension and so many more), is exhausting. I utilize a combination of strategies from Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness to get to the source of the anxiety and find strategies to address it.
The constant feeling of being wired but not tired that so many insomnia sufferers deal with is a great thing to be able to let go of on your path towards healing. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insonmia (CBT-I) and mindfulness strategies to help clients escape the cycle of sleepless nights and day time dragging.
