About My Clients
Are you feeling low to a point where you don't recognize yourself and every activity you engage in seems to lack any semblance of joy? Do you feel so anxious that you can't stop your ruminating thoughts from clouding your mind? I would love to help you feel better and get back to yourself. I believe the person that used to see things with joy is still in there and I would love to help you bring that side of you back to the forefront.
My Background and Approach
My specialization is in healing trauma and the symptoms and stressors that follow as a result. I have also worked extensively with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, I primarily practice through the lens of psychodynamic theory and I am an eclectic provider who utilizes the modality that serves my client's the best. I utilize evidence-based practices to assist clients and those EBPs include (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (DBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Somatic Techniques, (MI) Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology. I also used to teach yoga for a number of years and I am able to teach client's breathing techniques. Whether you have been in therapy before or not, reaching out to someone new for support can be very hard. I am here to answer any questions and address any concerns.
