My Background and Approach
Psychotherapy services are offered within the comfort of your home. We provide individual and family psychotherapy for adults and adolescents within Middlesex County. I can help you with Coping Skills, Parenting Issues, Depressive Disorders, Trauma, Abuse, PTSD/Complex PTSD, Substance Abuse, Mood Disorders, Grief and Loss, Anxiety Disorders, Anger Management, Adjustment Disorders, Socialization Skills, ADD/ADHD, Women's Issues, and Self-Harm. I use several different treatment modalities including Brief, Solution-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (i.e., Exposure Therapy), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Schema Focused Therapy for example.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we don't have to remain the products of our dysfunctional upbringings, which we've had no control over. Life is about choices, connecting with a sense of gratitude, & letting go of the negativity from the past. We travel on our own paths & have our own purposes in life. Sometimes, we need to have a "mirror" placed in front of us to be able to appreciate who we are in order to make the necessary changes to move forward. I'm not going to walk behind you, pushing you through life, nor walk in front dragging you, rather walk along side of you encouraging you along the way.
