About My Clients
I work with adult individual clients who are dealing with anxiety, chronic illness, substance abuse, LGBTQ issues, career concerns, and family and relationship issues. I also work with couples who are seeking to improve their communication skills. I work with clients from the LGBTQ community and heterosexual community. I provide online video therapy to residents of California on a confidential website.
My Background and Approach
I have been working as a therapist since 2011. I have experience working in a psychiatric hospital, detox facility, elementary school, field work, and private practice. I utilize CBT, DBT, Person-Directed Therapy, Positive Psychology, LGBTQ Affirmative Therapy, and motivational techniques. I help my clients develop coping skills for dealing with anxiety and substance abuse.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBTQ community, I know first-hand how damaging discrimination against the gay community can be to an individual's self-esteem. That is why I take an Affirmative Therapy approach when working with LGBTQ clients. I encourage clients to develop self-confidence, embrace their uniqueness, and live a genuine life.
