About My Clients
I specialize in working with adults who are struggling with relationships, challenging family dynamics, anxiety, depression, trauma-response/PTSD, and self-confidence issues. I also work with clients who would like to improve their social skills, and emotional IQ, including those who with high-functioning autism (or what was previously called Asperger's).
My Background and Approach
A little bit about me--since I am a stranger that you’ll be sharing your innermost thoughts with, it only seems fair to share some things about myself, right? I was born and raised in Colorado and attended Colorado State University for my Bachelors’ in Social Work, and graduated from University of Denver with a certificate in Interpersonal Trauma Studies and Masters in Social Work. My therapy approach incorporates my values of authenticity, humor, compassion, and justice. I utilize modalities that are a best fit for each client and their individual needs and include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Strategies, Trauma-Focused CBT, and experiential-based intervention. I am also in the process of becoming a Certified Geek Therapist. Other interests I have are SCUBA diving, camping, reading, cooking, and spending time with my husband and our dogs, Ace & Max. I also love going to comedy shows!
