About My Clients
I work primarily with adults who present with complex trauma histories and codependent tendencies. I enjoy helping diverse client populations achieve tangible change in their lives by addressing the root causes of unhealthy behaviors and relationships. I specialize in providing highly confidential services to first responders and fellow helping professionals.
My Background and Approach
The primary focus of my practice is support individuals as they work to cope and heal with the impacts of trauma, mental illness, addictive behaviors and codependency. I strive to nurture and empower my clients without enabling them. Evidenced based treatments inform my practice, including CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and EMDR. Additionally, I offer therapeutic debriefing and critical incident desensitization to frontline workers who experience vicarious trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that all humans have the capacity to heal, adapt and transform their lives. When given the right tools and support, we become empowered for change. My life experiences have informed my ability to deeply understand the impact and intersection among trauma, mental health, socioeconomic status and addictive behaviors.
