Relationships are tough- it's one thing to have to understand how to navigate your own emotions, but understanding your partner can be even harder sometimes. Relationships fall into a lot of "traps" and the cycle can feel never-ending. Utilizing tools from the Gottman method, my goal as a couple's therapist is to bring each individual to a place of understanding the other in order to grow into a new, exciting chapter of the relationship.

Career counseling is a great way to address how your values, needs, wants, and lifestyle can be conducive to the career path you choose. Together we will figure out what your passions are through assessments, researching opportunities, and also learning about yourself along the way. I have worked with teens, young adults, and adults to help identify what they need in a career in order to feel fulfilled.

I utilize a psychodynamic framework when working with clients' because I believe that you can't eradicate an undesired behavior without understanding its origin story first. The "why" behind a feeling can be very telling and help the process of making the changes you want to make. During childhood, we are absorbing everything around us, whether we recognize it in the moment or not. Because of this we can fall into mind traps based on what the past has told us.

Your story is important. What you tell yourself about what and who you are is imperative to how you may operate on a day-to-day basis. I use a narrative approach to therapy when figuring out what story is behind a certain thought pattern or behavior. I use narrative therapy to empower my clients so you can feel a sense of control over your story.

Couple's counseling involves helping each individual understand their own emotions and how to express it in a healthy way towards their partner. When you are in couples' counseling, you also will be able to learn a whole lot about who YOU are based on what you figure out with your partner. Utilizing the Gottman method I assist couples in being able to navigate their thoughts, feelings, and emotions so they can redefine the relationship in a desired manner.
