About My Clients
As your therapist, my goal is to support you on your pathway to healing- whatever that may look like to you. Shame, body image, grief, anxiety, 2SLGBTQ+ concerns, relationship struggles, and children and youth navigating gender identity are all areas of focus in my work. I have a particular interest in supporting those considering conceiving/gestating. Taking that step can feel scary and polarizing in our binary filled world.
My Background and Approach
My own life experiences in community and even my work experience in retail give me unique knowledge and ways of supporting my clients. As a queer, body positive, sex positive clinician, I want you to know that there's no pressure to act a certain way in therapy. Therapy should be a place to celebrate and discover the complexities of being a human. Maybe what you've been trying hasn't been working and you're discouraged. Sometimes we all need a different point of view to give us a little clarity and hope. I can help with that! When working with me you can expect a laid back and gentle approach fueled by my genuine curiosity to get to know you. My sessions are casual, interactive, and always affirming.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum and well versed in polyamory and non-monogamy, I'm especially equipped to help folx navigate considering identity, what works for you and doesn't in relationships, etc. I believe there are multiple genders and gender expansive children can know themselves, just as cisgender children can. I valuing learning and each doing our part in the movement towards a free and just society.
