About My Clients
Do you ever feel like your mind just won't slow down? Maybe you're overthinking every decision, putting pressure on yourself to get everything right, or feeling stuck during a major life change. You might look like you have it all together while secretly feeling overwhelmed or unsure of yourself. I want you to know that you don't have to navigate it alone. Together, we'll work toward feeling more grounded, confident, and like yourself again.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life, we just often get hooked by thoughts and feelings that pull us away from our values. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida, with training in Marriage and Family Therapy and Integrated Behavioral Health. My clinical experience includes university counseling, primary care, and private practice settings. I primarily draw from Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we'll explore the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck while developing practical tools to help you cope and move toward what matters most to you. I tailor therapy to your needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I also have training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), which informs my work with couples.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are capable of growth and change at any stage of life. I don't believe therapy is about fixing or changing who you are; instead, it's about creating space to better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and make choices that align with the person you want to be. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and accepted without judgment. I also believe that our experiences shape us, but they don't have to define us. Therapy can help us understand the patterns we've developed, make sense of where they come from, and decide which ones still serve us. My hope is that you'll leave therapy not only with practical tools, but with a deeper sense of self-compassion, confidence, and trust in yourself. I value authenticity, inclusivity, and meeting people where they are. You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start exactly where you are and work from there.
