About My Clients
I see individuals (ages 5+), couples, and families with a range of presenting concerns. I have specialized clinical experience working with children and parents. Prior to working at Perspectives in Lansing, I served as a child trauma therapist, helping youth & adults who have experienced childhood trauma.
My Background and Approach
Seeking therapy can be scary, and it takes a lot of courage to ask for help. I believe, by creating a safe and collaborative environment where each client feels heard and validated, the process of change will feel less daunting. Through a client-centered and trauma-informed approach, I hope to support my clients and walk alongside them in their journeys. Entering into this profession is a privilege, and I am grateful to be able to learn from my clients and sit with them as they experience healing. Each person has a story. Some are long chapter books; some are a few pages; all are valid. Your story, no matter how long or how short, is important. My goal as your therapist is to provide a space for you to be authentically you. Therapy is not easy, and it may feel ‘muddy’ at times. That’s okay; life can be messy and complex. I hope to create a warm, supportive environment that is accepting of where you are. I look forward to hearing your story and supporting you in your work!
