About My Clients
You may have built a life from the blueprint of other people's expectations. You may have everything you need, but you are living a life that doesn't feel yours. You may have love and commitment to your family, but you find it difficult to embody an authentic version of yourself around them. It's hard to set boundaries when you feel like there is so much to lose. Your mind and body are frozen in worry and shame. Culturally informed trauma therapy can help you navigate complex areas of life.
My Background and Approach
Over my many years of experience with trauma and relationships, one thing is certain, our minds and bodies work together to create the safety and courage we need to move forward in life. My approach involves exploring the narratives and limiting beliefs that keep us in cycles we cannot escape, while also attending to the ways our bodies feel frozen when faced with conflict and emotional unsafety. We'll work collaboratively to address the anxieties that create barriers to your most authentic self. As we make space for the past to be explored with compassion and patience, we'll also make sure you have tools to deal with what's right in front of you. In our work together you'll develop strategies to help you cope with anxiety and move forward with decisions more confidently. As a first generation daughter of immigrants, I hope to help your explore your family's dynamics in a way that feels competent and knowledgeable of your values and experiences.
