Through an explorative process, clients gain insight into how past environment has shaped their current personality traits. With insight, change is possible. We can consciously choose our actions and our thoughts, and become less reactive.
I enjoy working on changing negative thinking patterns and behaviors. I work with clients on developing awareness first, of their thoughts and feelings. I help clients develop coping skills that make it easier for them to maneuver challenges and to gain new perspectives.
I help clients work through issues in their relationships or leave a relationship that is unhealthy. Often it is tough to end a relationship, even though we know we should. I help clients decide whether issues are solvable or not. I provide practical tools to help navigate challenges in a relationship.
I treat both mild, moderate and severe depression. Depression can be a chemical imbalance and/or situational. I work on understanding causes and triggers of depression, managing expectations and adapting healthy behaviors that reduce or eliminate depressive symptoms.
I treat generalized anxiety, social anxiety and OCD thought patterns. I work on gaining acceptance and reducing fear around anxiety, and also challenging negative thoughts associated with anxiety.
