My Background and Approach
I bring a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques to help people get rid of what's not working for them and find things that do .Symptoms are an intended solution to a problem that has become a problem. We will find effective solutions that help you maximize talents and develop your unique potential. People are varied and different so my approaches are varied and different but my aim is always to help people get the best from themselves and life!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When we are children we have a child's mind. A mind, by virtue of how it develops, that is prone to misinterpretation and faulty conclusions about our self, others, the world and our place in all of that. Those conclusions contribute to the formation of beliefs which in turn create thoughts feelings and behaviors. When these thoughts feelings and behaviors are tested in the world they can't work to our advantage. Solution? Replace the faulty program with one that can work comfortably and successfully. So no-People we are not broken, sick, or diseased. Just in need of more accurate information. My history of, teaching, volunteering with organizations that provide mental health services to families torn apart by incest and abuse,volunteering to provide group therapy for anxiety and depression, helping start a state wide AIDS project, all reflect my belief that given the opportunity people can learn and grow and change.
