About My Clients
I transform Medical and helping Professionals struggling to prioritize life outside of work and suffering with vicarious trauma, anxiety and depression. By strategically employing mindfulness skills and the tools of cognitive therapy, we begin freeing up energy that can be channeled into self-care. Guided Self exploration with techniques such as Jungian Dream Interpretation provides them with an unfolding map of the unconscious allowing them to experience deep change.
My Background and Approach
My background is eclectic which helps me to support the diversity of humanity. As therapy unfolds, you will master mindfulness tools to release tension and relax your body. You will be able to live in the present moment, the now. Mindfulness skills help people improve focus and remember where they put things and whether they have taken their vitamins. Cognitive skills will help you identify unhelpful and sometimes harmful thought patterns and quickly get to the root of them. You will be able to make decisions and respond to your inner critic. Moods will no longer steer your ship. Once you learn the symbolic language of the Psyche, you will have a lifelong companion guiding you to your best and the deepest connection with your Self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Growing up, I thought making money would make me happy. With each new dollar figure of earnings, my body became tenser, my heart grew sadder, and I set a new goal to achieve that elusive happiness. At the same time, I would practice meditation, go on spiritual retreats, and take yoga classes. But I couldn’t maintain a sense of peace when I was home or back in the office. Finally, I collapsed into exhaustion and depression. I found a therapist and discovered a path to my deepest Self. It started with having someone hold me accountable for applying mindfulness skills until they became a habit. Along the way, I learned the cognitive skills to help me discover and work with limiting thoughts and beliefs I didn’t know I had. The most frustrating part of therapy, the depth of work, became the best part. Years of struggling with understanding my dreams came together as I learned the symbolic language of my Psyche. Once I had that connection with my deepest Self, I wanted everyone to have it
