About My Clients
I work with folks who are going through big life transitions, who want to deepen their relationship with themselves and others by enhancing their intuition, spiritual awareness and emerging with their truest self, want to learn to practice radical self love and compassion, and heal from an anti-oppression framework. I practice with multidimensional and intersecting identities and see individual adults only. I have an online practice in WA and CA and in person in Olympia, WA.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Smith College School for Social Work in 2007, worked as a case manager in underserved communities and then pursued enhancing my skills as an individual psychotherapist. I believe nobody knows more about yourself than you do. Because of this, I follow your lead and listen to your signs of readiness towards change and self actualization, and gently provide direction as your guide. Various methods I use: Psychodynamic (tracing childhood experiences to current concerns/dilemmas), Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, Somatic (of the body) based, Bilateral stimulation, Neurolinguistic programing, Emotional Freedom Technique (or Tapping) , Psycho-education, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and Lifespan Integration.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Self reflection is necessary for me to be there for myself and for others. This is a life practice of mine which I hold very dear. I'm a human being, ever changing, constantly learning and evolving. I show up in sessions, as myself, and am devoted to doing any work to face my own inner wounding and placement in this world- such as continuously learning to decondition from the systems that oppress us all. Some components to my work values: humor, deep listening, building trust, compassionate, culturally attuned, gently directive when needed, justice and feminist-oriented, anti-racist/oppression, trauma-informed, psycho-spiritual.
