About My Clients
My client's are intelligent and high-functioning people. They have careers, families, and responsibilities which they are handling but underneath something keeps pulling at them. Reactions that feel too big. Patterns that cannot seem to stop. A low hum of exhaustion that cannot seem to dissipate. I also work with client's who have experienced narcissist abuse, who have endured trauma that is slowly eroding away a sense of well-being.
My Background and Approach
I grew up on the West Coast of the U.S. and was raised by immigrants, and have lived all over the world, which gives me a unique perspective. I bring a direct, frank, and grounded style and I am not going to tell you to "breathe through your trauma", I am going to help you understand what is happening in not only your brain but also your body, and give you the tools to help you change. This is about lasting relief, not just a temporary band-aid. We will get to the heart of what is happening and help you heal in order for you to go forward in life. I have a strong understanding of the 12-step program, and have been attending Ala-non since 2018. Additionally, I served in the U.S. Army in the Behavioral Sciences. I use a holistic approach and have attended the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. I use many tools, from EMDR to art therapy to help you find your way back to yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have worked for the NWA Women's Shelter and have a strong passion to help women who have experienced narcissistic abuse, and domestic violence. My passion for animals is evidenced in my therapy dog, Timmie, who attends every session with my clients to provide grounding and a sense of safety for those who are processing their trauma.
