My Background and Approach
Being both a Psychologist and Expressive Arts/Music therapist, I connect with clients using creativity as a tool for accessing conflicts and challenges from another angle. I work with treating anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma. I specialize in women's health issues around identity, relationships, and pregnancy and postpartum emotional health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the transformative power of relationships. I believe that taking time to talk together in therapy can be a revolutionary act. I am dedicated to awareness of my own privilege and bias. I believe that we can change the injustice in our society by working on ourselves. This is challenging and uncomfortable work. I enjoy using humor and creativity in sessions to make this process fun and feel good. I bring my authentic self to the work to allow my clients to be as authentic as possible as well. All people are welcome in my practice, treated with respect and humility regardless of their background or story.
