About My Clients
Sex therapy is rarely about technique. It is often about the quiet places where desire has gone missing. You may love your partner yet feel distant in your erotic self or want to want, but feel nothing. I work with individuals navigating sexual shutdown, loss of agency or the tension between authenticity and belonging. Sexual concerns often carry meaning rather than dysfunction. My approach integrates existential therapy with mindfulness, stoicism and Jungian perspectives.
My Background and Approach
Education: Masters in Clinical Psych from Pepperdine University & PhD in Clinical Sexology. My approach is based in Existential Psychology while integrating mindfulness, choice theory and Stoicism. We are often unable to control aspects of our environment, circumstances and other people. However, we do have the freedom to choose how we respond. Existential psychotherapy places great emphasis on the present moment, qualities rather than quantities, profound connection rather than casual relationships, individual authenticity, self-awareness, freedom of choice and the human need for meaningfulness. My philosophy is to neither pass judgment nor exert pressure, but provide a psychological perspective to understand your lived experience. Your experiences are undeniably personal and shape who you are. I delight in exploring what encompasses who you are and finding how to embrace your authentic self while discovering the power that is inherently within you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Many aspects of life remain outside our control. Circumstances shift, relationships change and the world does not always respond to our intentions. What remains within our freedom is how we choose to respond and how we shape our lives within those realities. Existential psychotherapy attends to this freedom. It explores questions of authenticity, connection, responsibility & meaning, with an emphasis on the quality of lived experience in the present moment. My role is not to judge or direct your choices, but to provide a thoughtful psychological perspective that helps illuminate your experience and the possibilities within it.
