I graduated with two BAs in Psychology and Music from Spelman College in Atlanta. I also have my MA in Counseling Psychology with a forensic concentration. I completed the majority of my training in play therapy with children traumatized by both community and domestic violence. I am also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and grief work and have done extensive work with foster and adopted children. I have worked with juvenile offenders and victims of crime and believe that healing relationships can be powerful catalysts for change.
I combine play, art, and narrative therapies with evidence based practices in a way that is tailored to each individual client. I will work with you and your child to determine the goals of therapy and will collaborate with your family to determine the best ways to achieve those goals. To find out if I am a good fit to help you and your family, call and schedule an assessment today.
